Orvasrin returned to the bedroom soon after the sounds of the shower died off. Once again he returned with only a pair of light trousers on, the kind he always slept in. His hair was scruffy and still slightly damp but he hadn't been in the mood to completely dry it figuring he'd just sort it out in the morning.
He picked up on the smell of alcohol, noticing the whiskey bottle in the room. Well whatever helped her to sleep, he didn't expect he'd have to worry about her getting drunk or anything. He moved around to his side of the bed, stretching his arms over his head before slipping under the covers.

((Noes! Varian had a double post D: lol))
Ryusei purred as she curled up, absently snuggling next to Orvasrin. Strings of her hair draped over her face, going in and out and each breath. Well, at least the whiskey was slight on her breath. Thank goodness for her immune system that fought off vampires, weres, whiskey, and poison, plus other things Ryusei thought it could handle if she threw them at it. The dragoness yawned, baring long canines, and said softly, "Back in the hallway, I had muttered something about Claudius and you replied something about the witch chief. What do you know about this man?" Her eyes were closed and her breath was steady. Had it not been for the voice--very similar to how the catform was able to speak--she would've looked asleep. Ah, the pleasure of ventriloquism--the virtual mind P.A. system.
"I met this man...when I had transformed in the bay to swim earlier. He said I was causing tidal waves to hit the beach, and he called me a 'beast', which I, of course, took affront at. However, he seemed to be hiding something and I told him that we would meet again. I have no special skill of mind-reading--bits and pieces of thoughts, but nothing more--so I gathered his name and something about a curse," she explained quietly. "But I have not gathered anything else..."

((So I did, oh well fixed that.))
Orvasrin shifted around a little as he felt Ryusei snuggle up to him, lightly brushing the hair out of her face. He'd have to keep in mind that she could look peacefully asleep and actually still be awake. "I don't really know much other than the fact he is the leader of the witches coven in the city. As such he is a man I would wish to avoid much contact with until I am a little stronger since I can only assume he is powerful." His hand drifted a little further down her hair before returning to his side.
"Although, he obviously lacks a little in the perception department calling such a lovely creature a beast," he continued, speaking in little more than a whisper. It would take a bit of effort to not identify a dragon when you saw one, but then again the witches weren't overly keen in identifying whatever creatures they were dealing with before dispatching them.

Ryusei laughed gently. "Yes, I called him on that. No mere human with magical properties can hope to achieve an illusion that equals my true self. I guess I was a bit too optimistic with witches and their perception. If anything, it would be a small dragon, such as a firedrake or icedrake, small cousins of myself," the dragoness said. Her voice gained a thoughtful tone and she chuckled again.
"He shouldn't try anything with you. I've run up quite a tab in their policing department, and I'm sure he fears that I know whatever secret he's keep, though I do not have it all figured out. He is quite a good countercurse-caster ((say that five times fast)) and I doubt he's be happy if I started snooping around. He seems the type to say 'don't mess with me and I won't mess with you'," Ryusei said softly. Her lips creased to a small smile. "I wonder what he would taste like..." Another thoughtful moment.

"Hmm, I'll have to come down to the bay sometime to see your true form that would be an interesting sight. Although I might get a bit jealous of not having my own true form," Orvasrin chuckled, running his fingers through Ryusei's hair once more.
"Well, until he gives us reason to do otherwise we should leave him be for now. I think a clash with the witches is probably going to be inevitable but I have no intention of starting the fight without the odds in my favour." He grinned a little at Ryusei's last comment. "Maybe you'll get the chance to find out one day."

Ryusei smiled. "Well, if Claud isn't an ass about it, I can take you for a ride. He was rather ill-tempered that I was causing a mini-typhoon by swimming around," the dragoness said, half-opening her hazel eyes. "He wants me to go to some magical lake in the city, but I don't know if I'm small enough to fit." Yet another weakness about being more than a mile long. "You will have no reason to be jealous. My true form is controlled by you, so it's practically the same..in a way," she said with a kind purr.
"But yes, your words are true about the witches. I will do my best not to cross them on purpose, but...I will defend our honor to the death," Ryusei smirked, placing a delicate clawed hand on Orvasrin's chest as she yawned. "And also, I did not point this out to you in my book, but I will occasionally go into points of dormancy to regain my strength. Usually, this is during a full moon, to sleep while the weres change. Yet another...weakness of mine." She seemed loathe to admit that she had another one; being a dragon usually meant invincibility and pride. One simply could not accept weakness, and pain was weakness leaving the body. The Bloodmoon's head lolled onto Orvasrin's head and slowly fell into slumber.

"I do believe I shall look forward to the experience then." Orvasrin smiled at her purr. He shifted around a little more to find a comfortable position with Ryusei's head leaning on him. "Rest well my pet, I'm sure the coming days will require a lot of strength from us both." He whispered, not wanting to wake her if she had already fallen asleep. It didn't take long for him to fall into sleeps embrace as well.

Rubbing her head, she felt threads of a familiar energy calling out to her. "Drachesterndame, the daughter of your master is being hunted," came Shinzo's voice, blurry in her mind that was bogged by dormancy. She finally came to and noticed her affectionate curl around the master. "Fuck," she growled at herself and then blinked. "Sifain, were are you?" she demanded.
"The alley. I was walking away from the pub," the changeling responded. "And some asshole decided that he was going to make a beeline for the fraulein."
Ryusei rolled her eyes and tightened her kimono, grumbling in her language. "Forgive me for not obeying you about sleep, my lord," she said to Orvasrin, opening the window and bounding onto the rooftops in the shadow of a cat.

Ryusei came back an hour and a half later, her hair flyaway. She jumped through the window, landing in a flurry of kimono. "I'm back, my lord," she whispered, placing a cold hand on Orvasrin's cheek. "Brother Sifain told me Kuri's been chased. She's got a bounty on her head and we ended up getting dragged into the Cha-cha Slide with a witch, a bounty hunter, two changelings, me, Kuri, and a vamp, according to Shinzo. The hunter wants to meet you, because Shinzo attacked him trying to defend Kuri." The dragoness was breathing heavily and very tired. She would've been an easy target if the hunter had decided that she was next on his list.

"Well that sounds like it was a bit of fun," Orvasrin said flatly as he sat up in the bed. "I'm assuming someone spotted her while she was hunting then, that is unfortunate but it doesn't really change things. If your friend is still following her, and you can contact him, you may as well tell him to head home. She feels safe right now so whoever she is with isn't a threat." Being Physically bonded with the girl's body had some advantages apart from letting her do the collecting for him. Knowing her state of mind was one of them.
"As far as the hunter goes, do you think he knew what he was dealing with? If he didn't seem too clued up then I guess I could meet with him, having him off Kuri's tail would be useful." He stretched his arms over his head, letting them fall back to his sides before continuing. "Thank you for taking the time to check up on her regardless. Now though I think you had better rest." He gave Ryusei a light smile as he patted her side of the bed with one of his hands.

Ryusei nodded sleepily. "That witch is worried that the people'll be worried about a serial killer. They'll have much more to worry about if they don't leave others alone," she groused and then searched out Shinzo's mental colors. Reaching into her bank of German, she called to him telepathically,"Shinzo, sie ist sicher. Gehen Sie nach Hause." Shinzo, she is safe. Go home.
"I was just about to contact you, Frau. I'll be on my way."
At her master's next question, she shook her head. "I do not know, but you are right. I need rest before I die on my feet," she said, pulling her kimono close as she pulled the blankets over her. She yawned widely and slept deeply.

"Human's fear is one of the greatest tools that we can use against them. I will relish the day that the mere mention of my name strikes fear into the hearts of those vermin once again. Of course that'll be a good ways off but it's not like I'm not used to being patient now," Orvasrin smirked as he moved back down under the covers himself. Seems he'd have another busy day tomorrow with this hunter wanting to see him and this trickster wishing to offer it's services. On top of that he needed to cast some enchantments on the sword he had picked up today to make up for his currently less than adequate form. At least tonight’s hunt gave him some much needed strength.

Ryusei laughed in quiet tones as she curled up and slept. "Fear is a wonderful spice to food," she said softly, half to herself. She yawned widely and slowly fell asleep.

Orvasrin ran his hand gently through Ryusei's hair as she curled up. He watched her for a few moments before leaning back himself to try and fall back asleep. Hopefully nothing else would interrupt the night, but then again things never seemed to stay simple around here.

Orvasrin awoke once more in the night, sitting up slowly. Glancing to the side to see Ryusei gone once more heightened his worry, something was wrong there was far too much static in the air for his liking. Telckla had seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth as well, which made this all the more troublesome. He slipped out of bed and threw on some clothes and his jacket before moving to the main room, making sure to slip Ryusei’s book into the inside pocket of his jacket. Grabbing the box of materials he had purchased that day and a sharp kitchen knife he flicked the latches on the case that sat on the kitchen units and opened it.
Inside the case, embraced in protective wrapping was an ornate sword, a replica of the very weapon that had been his own so long ago. The long, slightly curved blade was etched with runes running all the way down to the large x-shaped cross guard that resembled reptilian wings. The grip was long enough to allow for the use of two hands although the sword itself was light enough to be used in one, Ending the weapon, the claw like pommel gripped a large dark gemstone in it's grasp.
"Not bad for a mortal weapon smith but there are some things that only a demon can do," Orvasrin stated rather flatly as he lifted his hand out over the sword. Soon he was grimacing in pain as the flesh of his hand started to warp, the flesh twisting into a deep red set of thick scales and the fingers forming vicious claws. His free hand pulled out a handful of powder from his assortment of supplies and scattered it over the swords blade before clutching the kitchen knife once more.
"Taseran...Aruna...Jirad...Zakat!" The words echoed around room, causing the scattered powder to glow brightly. With a slight smile on his face Ovrasrin slashed the knife across his shifted hand, causing dark blood to drip down onto the sword. The final trigger of the spell caused the glow to intensify further until the whole sword appeared to be made out of pure light. Soon afterwards the light faded down to reveal the sword once more, now marred from it's once silver colour to that of an ever shifting black and deep red, almost as if the whole thing was now made of some form of liquid.
Orvasrin leaned heavily on the counter, breathing heavily as his hand shifted back to normal. Pain split through his head but he ignored it only dragging himself back up to his full height. Taking a few fire coloured scales he but his hand on the sword. There was another flash and another surge of pain and weakness, albeit far less intense than the previous one. With the second spell cast he picked up the sword easily in one hand and moved to the door. He didn't have the luxury or rest, not while there was something big going on. The sword took on a slight glow and then seemed to take on a liquid form and flow into his lower arm, leaving a red mark in the shape of a crescent just below his wrist. With the blade concealed he opened the door to the apartment and exited quickly, eager to see what was in store for him.
((Now lets see if I can't make Orvasrin somewaht more worthy of his demon title. I shall have to draw his sword at some point as well.))

Orvasrin returned to the apartment with Ryusei in his arms, quickly taking her to the bedroom once the door was closed behind them. He laid her down on the bed gently, crouching down beside it to stroke her hair softly.
"You're safe now my pet," he whispered soothingly to her.

Her body shook and suddenly grew cold, her breath still. The green book she had given her master glowed brightly.
"Cover my eyes, and do not fear my sudden death-like state. I will awaken when I am somewhat recovered."
Her voice reverberated like a wraith's--sibilant and quite yet able to be heard.
