Calvin strode towards the church, his hand gripping Kesika's more tightly than was maybe necessary in anticipation of what was to come. His hair was still in sweat-slicked spikes - he gave Kesika's hand a squeeze as he thought of the reason for the perspiration - and his pale eyes showed a near-frenzied gleam.
"He's here, Kes, I can feel him," He said, excitedly. "The bastard is here and I'm going to find him and, and... He trailed off as his expression deformed into an expectant grin and he quickened his pace further...

Kesika followed along, squeezing Calvin's hand back. Though the last thing she wanted was to be doing this she knew there was little she could do to stop Calvin. There was no chance of getting him to just leave with her or give up on his quest for power. At the same time she couldn't just abandon him to do his himself. So here she was silently praying everything turned out okay as she followed along without replying to the comments.

An avian shriek cast overhead and a sharp slash of wind cut between the two and the church's door. Birgitte swooped down majestically, screeching at them in her hippogriff form. The massive bird-horse hissed and flapped her wings. You. I finally found you. Look, Master Corbin wants to speak to you. Now, she said, feathers ruffling up on her crest and spine.

Calvin instinctively drew Kesika behind himself as the hippogriff landed before them. He frowned as the avian messenger delivered her message.
"What does he want now? We're finally about to make our first move towards ending this whole war, and your master wants a chat?" He snapped back, angrily.

Yes, he wants a damn chat. You've got two options. You get on my back or I drag you with my beak. I really don't feel like dealing with bullshit today so just get this shit over with. Your plans can wait, Birgitte said gruffly. The hippogriff paced back and forth, her claws grating in agitation against the stones. Her tail thrashed when she stopped to look at Calvin. So what's it going to be? I doubt it'll take very long.

Kesika kept her eyes locked on the hippogriff as it made it's demands, wondering what the dark witch could want now with them, or rather Calvin. She had little wish to confront Delano, but at the same time she didn't know if the dark witch was any better to be around, all in all it seemed that she really wasn't going to be happy with whatever was going on. As long as she could stand with him though.
"Is this invitation open to both of us or just him." She asked, resisting Calvin's efforts to move her out of the way. She was the one who specialised in defensive magic here, and she wasn't about to hide behind him like some frightened little girl. Besides if Corbin wanted to talk to them then his guardian could hardly hurt them that much.

He would prefer to just talk to your buffoon of a lover but I suppose I could add you to the tea party, Birgitte replied dryly, flapping her wings. The steely beak turned swiftly over to Calvin, her glaring orange eye staring him down as she awaited his answer.

Calvin sighed, dejected. "Ok, ok, fine. Let's get it over with. Riding on your back is hardly my choice of first class travel, but it's the lesser of two evils."
He made his way over to the beast before him and stood, hands on his hips. "Well? Is it beneath you to bend your knees so I can get up?"

Birgitte indignantly pecked Calvin on the ear. I'll rip your nose off if you dare give me that attitude again. However, the hippogriff did concede to bend into a crouched position with folded wings. Place your legs behind my wing joint and your hands on my feathers. Do not pull them out...or I'll drop you from the sky.[/i] The hippogriff turned her head as the two mounted. Your woman should keep a hold on your hips or around your stomach.[/sub]

Kesika frowned a little but followed along as she was told. Launching into an argument with the feathered beast wasn't exactly going to help them get through this day any quicker, at the very least she didn't have to argue that she be allowed to come, as she had expected. The way the hippogriff addressed them irked her the most, though she wasn't sure if the comment on Calvin being her buffoon of a lover or her being his woman irked her the most. With a slight shake of her head she decided that she would debate that a bit later on.

Calvin barked a short laugh at the mention of "his woman" as he clambered on to Birgitte. He leant sideways, gripping the muscled form beneath him with his knees and thrusting down a hand towards Kesika.
"I learnt a long time ago that Kes is no one's woman 'cept her own," He remarked. He let the dig at himself slide for the moment - there was no point in getting in a fight over such a childish insult when far greater issues were at stake.

The dark witch stood not far from the witches church. Standing atop of a building but a mile out he smirked to himself. [glow=green,2,300] Brie, feel my power. I’m not far from you. I’ll use my magic to cloak you as soon as your in the air and make a illusion going off in the other direction. The wave length I’m using will be of darkness so it will be hard for the witches to trace it.[/glow]
The dark one spoke to her in her mind as he waited upon the flat roof of the hotel for his guests to arrive. He made sure the door was stuck fast to the roof, so no one would disturb their little chat. No, revenge was to be had and he would not settle for disruptions on anyone’s part.

Birgitte grunted, tossing her head at Calvin's comment. Right, she commented dryly. The tawny mare clicked her beak and came to all-fours. She spread her wings and lunged into the air smoothly.
Aye, I hear you, Corbin... The hippogriff climbed higher and higher as she headed towards her master's side. She reached him, sliding into shadow form so that she and her passengers simply wafted through the wall.
I have them, my lord... She turned her body so that the two were presented to the Dark Witch. The wench insisted on coming, and I didn't feel like being late. She cawed irritably at that.

Kesika was quick to hop off the hippogriff when she came to a stop. It wasn't like she needed to be told that the beast had no liking for her and the same was true likewise. She cast a glance over at Corbin before looking away and waiting for the men to get on with their business. She didn't like the dark witch or his little pet and would rather have nothing to do with them at all. It was obvious they were up to no good, why the hell would they even want to help witches, even against other witches. At the same time though with their help Calvin should be able to achieve his wish far easier, which would be good since she was deathly afraid of what this conflict might lead to. She couldn't shake the feeling it would come at a high price though.

The dark witch smirked as his guest’s and loyal guardian landed.
“ Hello there, long time no see hmmm?” The raven haired man purred as he walked past the girl. Stroking the beak of his friend as he gazed into her eyes with a amused matter at her thoughts. He spoke in a friendly tone as he paid attention to his friend and pretended that the other two witches were not even there while he talked.
“ Though I guess you realize this is no social call hmm? I’m a bit saddened to see the two of you had run all the way here and decided to not include myself. You know what, I’m actually hurt by that. I’m always getting left out.” He spoke in a mocking tone as if he was about to cry. Eyes flickering brightly with there intense green as the night air played with his locks of black.

Calvin huffed impatiently. "Cut the crap. What do you want to speak to me for?"
He swung his leg over the hippogriff's back and dropped to the floor. He walked around Birgitte and crossed his arms. "We were well on our way to make a move on Delano. That's why you're here too, isn't it? Like you said, this isn't a social call..." He observed acidly.

Corbin smirked as he eyed the man before him. Responding to him so abruptly, the man had balls.
“ Well it certainly was not to ask you out for a spot of tea now was it? You need me if you want to get Delano, that sniveling excuse for a witch will have you dead at his feet by the time he has every other witch in that hive attack you two. Not that I care or anything I’ll let you know but well. That insolent ass has made a mockery of my name and no one, I repeat -NO ONE- is allowed to ever do that to the ruler of the dark art. I’ll help you rise in your ranks to leader, if you help me gain my revenge and return this insignificant society to it’s proper glory. Those people have grown soft over the ages and lack the power that we once held in this world.” He spoke in a stern tone. Getting his point across though his true intentions were not shown in that moment. No…. feeding the mans thirst for power through false promises. His lime green eyes seem to glitter in the night at this. Looking into the mans eyes as if he was piercing his very soul. The wind whipping through his hair like a unseen phantom, waiting in silence for the man to reply.

Birgitte nestled against Corbin's hand with her beak and silently folded her wings over herself, the feathers disintegrating as she regained her human form. She brushed her amber hair over her shoulder, folding her arms under her breasts as she faced away from the three. Her shadow halberd materialized, clasped by her hand. The wind snatched her curls.
She frowned slightly at what her master was discussing. Then again...it was probably something that benefitted him in the end. She sighed heavily and decided not to interfere.

Calvin's lips parted and he scowled at Corbin's words. The real sting came from the nagging sensation at the back of his mind that the dark witch was right.
"What did you have in mind?" He asked when Corbin was finished. The witch's ideas weren't exactly in line with Calvin's own - those being and end to the tyranny of Delano and replacing it with Calvin's own, more just, leadership. What Corbin was hinting at was just more despotism. Still, he needed the witch's help...
He shifted uneasily as the weapon appeared in Birgitte's hand.

“ Brie and I will take care of the guard that’s on duty, you get in and take out Delano. Once where through we’ll come up behind you, watching your back and well. If you can’t handle that ass, we’ll finish him off for you.” The dark being smirked. Letting Calvin take on the dirty work.
“ Though by the Gods above, I’ll let you know this. Don’t screw with me. If I help you out, and you turn your back on me. You can expect the same fate as Delano.” He scowled. His green eyes watching the man seriously. Though it didn’t sound like it, Corbin knew very well that he would be taking the blunt of everything. Delano was just one man, and here he was offering to take on pretty much the whole coven. Especially that blood user lackey of Delano’s. It was sure to be in the least. Entertaining for shaking the rust off of his skills.

Being on point gave Calvin a momentary pang of apprehension. What if he wasn't up to taking on Delano? Could he at least last until Corbin arrived? And would the dark witch even help as promised? Calvin pushed all these doubts aside and clenched his fists in determination. His pride alone was enough to make him go along with Corbin's plan, let alone his faith in himself and his own abilities.
"Don't talk crap. Why would I turn my back on you? You just make sure you keep up your end of the bargain." In truth, Calvin could think of plenty of reasons why backstabbing Corbin could pay off, but he wasn't about to start spouting those anytime soon.
"And as for handling Delano, I don't think you'll have to worry about finishing him off. The time I'm done, there won't be enough left to finish."

Corbin looked to the man coyly as he crossed his arms with a smirk.
“ I always hold up my end of the bargain. So don’t you worry. You just do like I said and you’ll be king of this place. “ Corbin spoke up as he looked to Brie.
“ Lets get going. The quicker we move out the quicker we can be done with it. “ He spoke quickly. Stalking over to his guardian and placing a hand upon her female shoulder. Giving her that all to knowing look he had when he was about to go off to battle and have a grand old time. Especially this time, since the battle he was fighting was against the same organization that had caused his death. Yes, he would enjoy this battle, and enjoy the blood spilt from it.

Birgitte smiled at Corbin and easily slid into her Guardian form. Brie's darkened hair ruffled out, spreading out with her wings simultaneously. Obsidian armor coated her frame; the bare parts were flanked with black fire. Her staff glimmered despite the darkness as she turned to face Calvin with a gentler smile than what Birgitte had shown him.
"Don't worry, honey. We'll take care of it," Brie said as the more polite of the two division placed a battle-hardened hand on Calvin's shoulder before walking past. "Corbin, let's haul ass. I'm hungry."

“ See, she’s a feisty one.” Corbin smirked deviously as he followed after his guardian ecstatic with the soon to be war breaking out.
“ You know your going to get fat if you keep eating so many witches.” He told her in a playful tone as he held out his hand and created a energy orb that was large enough for all to fit into and carry them, undetected to the secret entrance to the old witching grounds through the back cemetery section of the church.
“ All aboard, unless you would rather walk there.” He smirked as he looked to Brie in excitement.

Calvin bristled at Birgitte's touch, but refrained from shrugging away. Then he shot Corbin a look and stepped into the bubble.
