Julius Neal looks up at the huge clock tower with a bright smile. Today's outfit is a cream skull cap, a cream button shirt with his black tanktop peaking through and a pair of baggy acid washed jeans with black converse all stars. He reaches out and uses the huge door knocker with his left hand. He can't wait to meet this "Claudius" he's heard so much about.

Claudius was looming about the back side of the main floor of the tower. Finishing a few repairs around the bathroom of his empty main office area when a knock was heard. For a moment he continued his work, assuming that someone would get it. Only then did he remember... He lost everything... no workers, no helpers. Just him in this huge place. With a sigh he put down his tools and turned to move towards the doorway. Resuming his human shape as he opened it, starring through teal tinted glasses a bit confused as he was face to face with a witch.
" .... May I help you?" He asked raising a brow. If this guy was looking for the normal coven... .then well he was out of luck.. though if he knew he was a wanted man... well. Things could definitely get tricky...

"Umm..." Julius says while wearing his nervous smile, "Yeah is this the Cheshire City Coven?" He asks with a hesitant look around the deserted room beyond the door. Somewhere in the back of his mind the songs of crickets comes to mind and he suppresses a smile. In his heart he can feel something here isn't right... but he can't quite put his finger on it and quite frankly... he doesn't want to.

" Used to be." The man sighed as he shook his head. " Look for the church of heavenly fire.... their down in the catacombs if your looking for them. I can get you a map if you wish." The witch and ex coven leader responded as he turned and waved him inside. If he had ill will against the master of the house, then he would not be allowed in. But as long as he was fine, then he would be allowed through the barrier. This was the spell that Claudius had casted with his own blood, to protect him from the coven... he had once so cherished.

Footsteps lightly traced the ground, the cloak lightly fluttering as the boy skipped behind merrily. Ahva's eyes scanned the buildings curiously. She smirked inwardly, proud at her own slyness. Playing the role of the ignorant traveller proved useful for information, however small. Of course, she'd heard rumors and tales of the Coven's chaotic state, the witch's turning on each other, and all of the little whispers in the dark. Under her white hair her two-toned eyes glinted with pride. In all the time of mankind not many had as sharp of ears for information than she. It came with the experience of an unnaturally long life, however lonesome and hard it was. Not a single ordinary human could boast a life like hers. There was a reason they called her Ahva the Undying. She paused a moment to look back over her shoulder at her companion. "Keep up, Flint." She reminded mildly. The were-child sped up to keep pace with her. "So where we goin', huh?" He probed, his bestial eyes glistening. "The clock tower. That's where we'll probably be able to dig up the most information, if anyone's there." Ahva replied. As the tower came into view she stopped, peering up the pointed structure and whistled as though impressed. It was an older, gothic style building, older than the other nearbye buildings. She looked towards the door and noticed two figure's there. Smiling gingerly, she walked to the door, Flint prancing behind her. She raised her hand in a gesture of greeting as she approached. "Excuse me. If I might borrow a moment of your time. I heard that this is where the Coven used to call home. I was hoping there might be someone here to talk to." She greeted, smiling kindly.

"Excuse me." Julius says to the newcomer as he returns her kind smile, "This'll only take a few moments... i think." He takes a step forward through the door. Then he turns back to Claudius, "um... Wow, this is awkward." Julius feels the rush of cool that, on anyone else, would be cause for panic. Yet it only means that if his skin were a few shades lighter he'd be blushing for the world to see, "I heard that there was a new coven here to join." In all honesty it was gossip of this newly reformed coven that had made Julius choose to come to Cheshire. He'd never met any kind of demon or dark creature before (that he knows of) but the all too common torture of their kind is just a little too close to a witch hunt, or a lynching...

Claudius looked to him a bit surprised. This was the first witch who knew that the old coven was no longer here and still wished to come to this building? The glory of the old coven was to much for many to turn against. He raised a brow.
" Yes.... I am creating my own coven... that is much more open..... in many ways. Your .... okay with the night breeds?" He asked, looking slightly taken back. For too many months now he had been hunted and prosecuted by his fellow witch..... and here was one that knew the truth on what he was doing and didn't feel disgusted or wished to kill himself? It was almost too much to ask for. That was when the next two guests appeared. Claudius nodded to him.
" First come, first serve. I'll deal with you next but first.... please come in." He invited the two. Again, his barrier upon the house was all that protected him from the coven storming the walls and taking him back to his execution by force. The threat that is ill will was intended for the master of the place, well. The person in question would be expelled backwards and out of the house after receiving a nasty shock.

Ahva's smile remained as she gave a short nod. "By all means, take all the time you need." She said respectfully, glancing at her more tempermental companion who'd began to fidget restlessly once more. He restrained himself at the risk of punishment for misbehavior.

"Oh yeah some of my best friends are vampires." He says and it's the way he's said it that lets you know he isn't anywhere near serious. Sarcasm runs in the family, "Not really. No i don't do the demons i just like to leave well enough alone if you know what i mean. I actually heard about you guys from my dad." Julius scratches his chin and tells himself to stop blabering, "So what's the exact protocall here? As long as i don't have to take any mystic oaths i'm cool." He says with a wide grin and his hands up in a gesture of surrender.

Claud waved for the two strangers to enter the house's protective barrier, to see if they wished ill will upon himself, the magic would dispell those from the abode if harm was their intention. His eyes flitted back to the witch. A smirk on his face at his remarks of sarcasm. He missed having conversations like this with his men.
" No mystic oath, other then promiseing to protect the weak, be it human or night breed. If your innocent, then your innocent despite what your genes are. I'll ask this right up front. Once more. Is there a breed you do not like for any reason? If not.... if you wish you can start out as a rookie and work your way up to head dective here. Though sadly I have to say... you might get pushed into much work very quick... since where so few here." He told him as he went to pour them both a bit of tea and watched the other beings out of the corner of his eye.

"I have no prejudices what so ever... except cats, cant' stand the little bastards." Julius says with a grin as he flops into an old chair with an air of supreme comfort. There's something about this Claudius that's... calming. It's hard to put his finger on it but... "I don't mind alot of work for real." He says as he accepts the tea, "I'm not one of those master witches or anything like that. I'm good but, not that good so you might want to consider that before hand." He looks down at the tea to see little flakes of ice forming in it and sighs. His ice x darkness style magic causes these kinds of things to happen quite often. It maintains a colder atmosphere around Julius's body and makes him prone to fire. "If you want to help them." He says indicating the others, " I could wait here."

Claudius nodded slightly, looking down to see the flakes of ice he raised a brow. Noteing that the side effect had to have been from some sort of ice mixture magic.
" Good, and that can be changed here, even if I have to teach myself how to increase one's magical aura and control it." He smirked, almost tempting a smile as he turned to the other two. Waveing them in once more he spoke.
" And what is it I can do for you as well today?" He asked the two in a gentlemanly fashion.

Ahva dipped her head in thanks as the two entered. "Thankyou." She eyed here younger companion. "Behave yourself now, and I might take you out for some fun later." She warned gently, turning back to Claudius. "We're actually looking to settle, probably somewhere around here. You can call me Ahva, I'm sure the name may sound familiar. I myself am human, not witch or anything of the sort, but I am aware of the night creatures, well aware in all honesty." She pulled down the hood of her cloak. Her hair was a light gray to white coloring, shortly cut, especially in the back. She offered a hand in greeting. "And you are... Um... Claud, is it?" She ventured, the black haired boy accompanying her fidgeting behind her.

Claudius shook his head at this. " I have never heard of this name, and it's Claudius Lothair." He corrected her, using his full name as he usually did when on business. He did not let many call him by mere Claud unless they had known him for quite a long time. Claudius was a man of business and the Lothair name was as old as the relics in the tower.
" Though I do not see why my approval is needed on such a thing. As a human, you are more then welcome to settle anywhere you wish." He pointed out to her a bit unsure of why she was here.

"Yes, I guess it does seem rather odd. Actually, I was considering joining the coven, or whatever you call your group now." She said, seeming a little embarrased. "The truth is, I'm looking for someone. He isn't human exactly, and although I'm not a witch, I do have a good knoweledge of night creatures, and the like. I don't have anything against any species of night creatures, either. That's one thing that seperates your coven from the other, if I understand correctly." She said.
She seemed to realize something and turned to her younger companion. "Sorry, I nearly forgot. This is my companion." She motioned. The boy looked at Claudius but said nothing, to Ahva's displeasure. "His name is Flint." She said for him.

CLaudius nodded at this to the young boy then looked back to the female.
" I have yet to come up with a definite name." Claudius spoke up since his new group had still yet to fully form but he had a few ideas.... from the last great uprising. They had gone by names of the Zodiac in code names ... perhaps it would be a name that stuck something surrounding the Zodiac.
" Do you know the dangers a human faces in this line of work? " The human appearing witch spoke as he poured both child and female a cup of tea as well and handed it to them. Takeing her words into careful consideration.
" But you are correct, I... don't have a vendetta against the night breeds... and this is the best place to start if your searching for someone." He added, thinking to himself about the curse he held and how well he hid the demon that he had become. The demon curse that had started this whole mess.

She nodded as he asked about the dangers of working with the night creatures. "Of course, and believe you me, I have no trouble holding my own, especially when circumstances demand." She said. She uttered a quick thankyou as she recieved the cup of tea, taking a quick sip. "I'm actually much older than I appear as well." She stated. "Much older than you'd probably believe. After all, I only appear like I'm seventeen, not even adult age." She said with a chuckle. "I also know how to use a weapon, more than just one type, though I prefer vocal resolutions to violence whenever possible." She finished, taking another tentative sip of her drink.
She turned to her companion as he tugged at her clothes. "Ahva, you forgot something." He said. She gave him a questioning look. "Did I?" She wondered. Flint pulled her down and whispered something to her, before her expression changed. "Oh, right." She straightened, seeming a little embarrased. "I'm sorry, I always forget this, it hardly ever comes to my mind anymore." She rubbed the back of her head. "Um... I'm not a girl, I'm male." Ahva said sheepishly.

" Oh? How old are you?" He asked her as he went back to sipping his tea. As the woman continued, and then suddenly corrected her.. his gender Claudius gave a wave of her hand.
" Gender, is not a matter here. It is how well you are able to function that is my concern. You could be a it for all I care, as long as you know how not to get killed. Thats the top priority." He explained as he took another sip of his tea.

"Of course, but it's good to know none the less." Ahva said, smiling kindly. "This... May come as a surprise, especially being human and all but... I'm... Actually 157 years old..." He said hesitantly, assuming Claudius would pass him off as either joking, lying, or insane. "You could say it's thanks to the person I'm looking for." He added. "Although, I'm afraid I can't tell you why." He said apologetically. "With that much time though, I've had more than enough experience surviving."

" I see, and why can you not inform me of what has happened to you? I know many ways.... for a mortal to retain their youth so it is of no surprise." he admitted as he looked at her/him cooly before taking another sip of his drink.
" For me to trust you..... you must learn to trust me as well." he added just as smoothly as he had prior. No emotion, just strictly business came from his mouth as he closed his eyes for a moment.

Ahva seemed to think about it, still slightly hesitant. He'd heard similar before from others who'd broken whatever promises they'd made or done differently once they'd learned of the youth's - er - young looking male's reason for his immortality. Even if it turned out this Claudius Lothair did decide to make a problem of it, he'd have no trouble warding this male witch off if it meant his own survival. He looked back at Claudius with a smile. "It's an item that this... Person I'm looking for made. It has magical properties that keep me from aging or dying so long as I have it." He answered easily. "Although I do know that trust is needed between us to work together, I can't tell you exactly where I keep it." He said. "Plus your not the only one here I've told about this." He said, keeping in mind that Julius was there. "In all truth, if it helps, I have no trouble trusting you, but the rest of the world is another story. I know you probably wouldn't tell anyone if they didn't need to know, but I'm afraid I can't risk the possibility of it slipping or someone over-hearing it." He said apologetically, still exorcising at least some caution.

" Items of mortality are not all that uncommon, but of course are not looked fondly upon when in a mortals hand. I will not press further to it's location, for everyone here has a secret that they prefer to keep." He told her wincing a bit as his hand when to his temple. Soothing away the migrane he was forming from keeping his counter curse in place, to keep his mortal shape and hide that of the demon he was cursed as.
" Do you have anymore questions of me? I can show you to the research library if you wish, and around the information center we use....we....used to use.... when this was the coven." he corrected himself as he then looked to the other young man suggesting the tour for him as well.

"If it's not too much trouble, sure." Ahva said kindly, nodding. "I don't think I'll find anything on the person I'm looking for there, but there's always a possibility. Quite the place though." He said, scanning around the interior of the building. "And what do you think of all this?" He said, more loudly than he'd been talking before.
"Well, you certainly could do worse for yourself." Answered a soothing voice from somewhere behind Claudius. Floating non-challantly through the air was a male human-like figure with a small frame, his coal black cat-like ears drawn back, his face relaxed in surreal relaxation. He had paws rather than human hands, and a long gray tail with a black tip and two black bands, which waved and flicked in a curious manner. A large, black tophat with a large, poofy white feather covered most of his gun-metal gray hair. A blood red topcoat covered a frilly white under-shirt, a vibrant orange bow adorning the front. His pants were coal black, the cuffs at the bottom loosely draping over the shoes. He looked like some kind of circus ringmaster. He floated in the air on his back, as if draped over an invisible couch, sniffing delicately at a beautiful white iris. "Still, I suppose your looking for him still isn't surprising. Though you have your work cut out for you, you know." He said as he pulled the iris away from his face, examining it fondly.
((And Shadow Cat makes his debut! ;D I was fretting so long about what he'd be wearing in the post though, so I didn't post yesterday x.x))

Outside the tower, looking up at the large building with a strange mixture of admiration and disgust, a figure stood, cloaked in the shadows. To think he'd actually return here, he was half surprised he could still walk, let alone do much of anything with his chest wound.
Every other time he had entered or left this building he'd been in a suit, this time he was what would pass for normal clothing, heavy cargo pants, a baggy shirt and a heavy leather jacket. There was no need to act superior to anyone for the moment, he was in no position to be starting fights.
Approaching the entrance he knocked politely, knowing full well what was likely to happen should he try to force his way into the building, no this young witch knew all about the little protection spell Claud had put on the tower when he stole it back from the coven.
"I wonder if my pet is still here, I'm sure she'd gut me before Claudius could restrain her." The man smirked. Tilan would really appreciate the irony to that situation.

Claudius stopped, looking up at the figure who had suddenly appeared. The magic on this facility would prohibit the entrance of a creature without Claudius knowing first. He presumed it must of snuck in with the others. Something he did not like. Sneakiness.... deceit, that was what the coven was about. It was something he did not care for. Before he could get out a scornful word to the creature and it's seemingly friends another knock came to the door.
" Excuse me." He spoke up with a hard cold stare at the feline like creature as he stood up and walked to the door. He opened it only to find his once trusted worker Tilan standing there before him.
" ..... are you here to arrest me?" He asked the familiar blood user knowing he had gone with Delano in the coven shift. His nails dug into the woodwork of the door. His migraine growing and the need to shift to his cursed form rising. He was fighting it back though. Keeping his human guise as he looked cooly through his glasses into the eyes of the blood user.
