"What an odd reunion, I really shall never understand why you two are quite so entwined. Then again that may not be of any concern soon." Tilan spoke up as he moved up the corridor the way Kitsu had just come, flanked by four other witches wearing black, featureless, full face masks. They stopped, two slightly ahead and two slightly behind Tilan as he raised a hand. Their heads dropped and their hands raised, almost as if they were praying, and a swirling barrier of light formed in front of the group. Of course, the barrier wouldn't stand up to the full force of the dark witch but it would hopefully by enough time for the talking to be over with.
"Now this is a little unfortunate, I was hoping for Kitsu to have made her escape a little sooner. Still you may freely leave during the probable unpleasantness about to unfold. A deal is a deal after all." He smirked slightly, letting his eyes run over the dead guardsman. Well that witch was probably more useful to him dead anyhow. His eyes ran back to Corbin, anticipating an aggressive response at that comment, although he was hoping the great witch of darkness wouldn't be that hard to send into a blind rage.
"Regardless, Corbin, I am here to offer you revised terms to the little contract that was arranged given that it seems you couldn't stand to be without Kitsu. It's true that we don't have many similar goals but we still share one, the inevitable war against the coven that you wish to lead doesn't have to be fought today." Tilan told him, still maintaining his calm and level voice. Of course if he proved to be more trouble than he was worth they would just have to remove the annoyance permanently, but to kill such a powerful being without absolute need was rather wasteful in his own opinion, even if he didn't expect a deal to be struck here.

Corbin got right back into her face at this little taunt.
“ I only got back into this bullshit cause of you Kitsu, though maybe I was wrong to sell my heart so quick to a fucking woman again. “ He hissed lowly while Brie ate her meal and the female tried to walk past. He disappeared into the shadows only to stand strongly in her way.
“ Where the fuck are you going? I came here and your coming with me till I figure this shit out!” He snapped at her only then hearing those disgusting words his hand snapped to try to backhand the female for disrespecting his guardian.
“ She is the only one who has ever cared for me and has been my friend so don’t EVER speak of her like that.” He whispered coldly to her as their little reunion was broken by the unusual witch before them. Using some silly spell to try to trap them. As he spoke his words a obvious hurt was seen in his glimmering green eyes.
“ So it is true, you fucking sold me out after all I have went through to save you? You even sold out your blessed human as well?” he told her suddenly, referring to the vet that he had become in modern times. His eyes turning back to the witch glared with a deep inner hate.
“ Correction, we have no goals in common. I wish to see this blasted organization crumble like it should of many centuries ago. Your all fools that stick your head up each others ass so far you can never see the light of day.” He growled. Slowly pushing up his sleeve a bit to reveal a sign drawn upon his hand, the spell of the zodiac, Delano was harvesting the damn thing for power, but Dark knew way more spells then Delano ever dreamed up being schooled in every way possible during his past life. The zodiac held many spells, though this one… this one was suicide if he decided to use it. For it would be the last spell the man would ever cast.
“ So I wouldn’t tempt me to use this. You may be strong, but I was trained by the best to be your people’s slave. Though this slave learned how to be it’s own master for a change.” He told those before him darkly.

Her rump faced Kitsu and she ignored the idiotic comments made by the fae. She lifted up her maw, crunching down on the meaty bones with her steely beak and spitting out the calcium. She groomed her face on a clean part of the dead man's clothing before lifting up her head again, her tall avian front facing Tilan and his goons. Her feathers suddenly became sable flame once more, her horse end becoming silkier from the black fire. Her wings folded, sending spurts of flame curling as Brie came to stand by Corbin's side, her temper intact. She spread her right wing, resting the muscled appendage against that of her master.
He means to tempt you into a darker rage. Keep your temper leashed and let me show your emotions, her mental voice relayed to Corbin, slitted eye sliding back to gaze over his form before rolling back to the witch.

"Come now Corbin, I couldn't dream of matching your power even if I was a full witch." Tilan said simply, glancing over the sign on Corbin's hand. Now that would make things a little more interesting.
"You could well cast that spell, kill me, Delano and the others tied into this little game, but the coven would survive, replacements would be sent and all that would change is that Cladius would gain this city for a time. Though I suppose it's possible you'd reincarnate again in the future, do you want to take that chance? What of your guardian and Kitsu here, even if they survive the spell they'd be lost to you." He gave the words time to sink in with a pause before sighing slightly.
"You would be far less troublesome to the coven in the long run by sacrificing yourself, so by all means don't let me stop you. Just think about what's more important to you right now, killing a few worthless witches or protecting those important to you." His gaze moved to the hippogriff momentarily, almost as if directing Corbin's attention to the one at his side now.

Kitsu felt the words hit her hard but refused to let it show. she wanted to hold him in her arms due to the hurt look in his eyes but knew it was completely pointless. Kitsu opened her mouth to speak to Corbin to tell him exactly what she thought but then she saw the witch that had let her Free. She listened to the exchange between the two witches and watched as the changeling moved against Corbin. Kitsu stood where she was refusing to move near Corbin like she wanted to. She kept her distance from them. She wanted to take Tilan's offer but knew she couldn't. She licked her lips slowly as she waited for the right moment to make a move.

Corbin panted hard as he suddenly closed his eyes. His hand closing into a tight fist, his nails digging into pale flesh and crimson blood trailing down his arm. Once he was a hold of himself he let his arm fall uselessly to his side.
“ Get out of my fucking way before I ram my hand down your throat and rip your balls off through your mouth. “ He told the man. Once more calm and collected, his body strong and solid. Refusing to budge, refusing to show any uncertainty as green eyes looked back to him dangerously.

"Your words sound tough for the average, uninformed idiot," Brie said quietly. "But they are ignorant when dealing with the Dark Witch, revealing your failure in combat. One of the rules is know thy enemy like thyself." The hippogriff's claws ground against the floor. "The Dark Witch will never die before his guardian, for her death shall always precede his, no matter the situation and even if they die together." Her head tossed and she turned her ominous eyes to Tilan.
"I do not wish to allow my master's hands to be sullied. Listen to him or his hand will seem a Godsend compared to my beak," she said, her voice never changing levels. Firelight flickered across her knife-sharp beak.[/sub]

Tilan simply sighed, seemingly unphased by the threats as his hand slipped into his jacket to withdraw a vial of blood, far more ornate than most of his collection. The lid glinted softly in the light, resembling a golden claw. He promptly flicked the catch open, spilling the blood into the air before him where it formed a small sphere, hovering before his hand.
"A shame, but thank you for the information. Dragon blood is such a wonderful thing, every type has it's own properties as well. This in particular is from that rogue that decided to aid Claud's group, an ice dragon I believe and a strong one at that." He held out his palm and the sphere changed into the shape of it's dragon, a long snake like form. The little dragon sailed through the air and merged into the swirling barrier before him, turning it a deep crimson in colour.
"Let's us see if it can test your guardian's theory." He stated with a sly smirk before shooting his arm forward, followed in unison by his routine.
The barrier shattered with a sharp crack, sending forth an icicle toothed maw of what looked like frozen blood flanked by further shards of ice as it headed towards Brie and Corbin. Anticipating it's prey the abomination opened it's maw further as it drew towards it's meal shifting it's arc a little so that it was aiming more for Brie.

Corbin threw up his arms at this. As if bracing for a blow though in fact he was bracing his shield spell. He prayed his magic was at least halfway rejuvenated as he waited for the creature to strike the invisible shield he held up before them. All he could think of was protecting his friend and Kitsu as well. His eyes shut tightly as he was forced backwards. His feet scraping in the earth as he was moved from the force.

She instantly came to her hooves and claws, raising her wings. Black fire surged upward in a heart-shaped formation. It curled around itself, forming a barrier. "Stand aside," she snarled, opening her beak. A nova of sable and purple energy swirled around, sparking around. There was a loud bzzap! as the shadow ball exploded with the blood dragon. Smoke billowed from the collision, revealing the hissing hippogriff that crouched in front of her master.
She suddenly let out a avian cry and fell to her stomach, large icicles protruding from her shoulders like inverted spike armor. She struggled to her hooves and talons, twisting her neck to snap the ice with her beak. Blood trickled down her broad, tawny-feathered chest.

“ Brie!” Corbin shouted with concern as he raced to his friends side. He tried his best to help her, knowing magic could not heal her wounds. “ I hate to say this but we need to get Kitsu and run.” He whispered to her, though knowing they had to incapacitated the group though before escape.
“Summers, spring and falls brisk chest, darkness grows in thy winters breath. Heart and flight, sight and mind use thy darkness to combine!” He shouted, trying to pour his energy into Brie’s attacks. That was there hope that she could do some damage and still be able to run.

I'm fine, she growled, more from pain than anger.
She turned around and enclosed her wings around the two. Feathers flew into the air and she landed on one knee, holding herself up with her staff. Blood cascading down her arms and back. "Shit..." She leaned against the wall, holding herself up with one bloody hand. She came to her feet lumberingly. "Gimme some clean bandages when we get home. I'll heal by the night," she mumbled.
Still think we should leave her ass behind, though I suppose it would have been a waste... she then added mentally as she conjured up the shadows to suffice until she returned home. She turned to face Tilan, blade outreached.
You can go run with her. I'll catch up with you later...

" I'm not leaving you here." Corbin told her softly. Remaining near to her while mentally telling her how they were to rescue Kitsu no matter what. If she was a traitor then they would deal with her then.
" Use my strength my sweet warrior." He whispered to her ear softly, praying she would be allright despite the blood.

The valkyrie took a deep breath and looked back at him with a gentle smile. "Don't worry. I'll protect you. You know that," she said softly, ochre eyes twinkling. Brie's curved blade coiled in a nimble arc, turning its steely eye to Kitsu. "You. Get your ass with Corbin. I don't care if I have to drag you out in my talons. You're leaving with us."
She then turned, blade disappating as her strength returned and so did her hippogriff form. She shook her rump and let out a war-like shriek. "Come forward, witch. No bullshit." She paced back and forth like an agitated cat, tail whipping left and right. It was like a joust, or a bullfight.

Kitsu gasped a bit at the spell from the blood and then watching as things unfolded before them. She felt helpless and she hated the feeling. She needed to do something but she didn't know what. She didn't bother to argue with the changeling and quickly moved to Corbin's side. She glared at Tilan, she may owe him two wishes but it didn't mean she couldn't get him back for doing this. He helped her escape and then this. She kept silent as her eyes made it clear she would make the witch pay for this. Even if she didn't care for the changeling at all and even if she was raging mad at Corbin. She would make the witch pay.
"If we're going, lets go now" she spoke as she thought 'before i'm tempted to do something that could get me killed' she felt her glamour slowly start to slip away which she knew was a bad sign. she faught to keep it in place.

“ Finally, you approach without a fight. “ He smiled to the fae before turning placing his hand on the wall.
[glow=Green,2,300]Get on Brie’s back.[/glow]
He instructed her mentally before letting a surge of energy leave his hand and flow into the rock. Exploding it into sparkling dust to hinder the other witches sight hopefully enough for them to escape.
[glow=Green,2,300]Now we take our leave [/glow]
He smiled as he waited for the fae to mount before skillfully jumping up onto the changelings back.

Tilan watched the little display with some interest, noting down all the reactions from those involved. The little glare from Kitsu in particular amused him, this was his business with Corbin not with her but if she was so upset about the whole thing then perhaps she wasn't as separate from the dark one as she had thought. With a satisfied smirk he reached out a hand behind him, one of his subordinates producing an ornate longsword and placing it in his hand.
"I feel it only fair to warn you that my line are trained as demon hunters." He waved his hand and the four witches moved back a few steps to give them some room. He slowly brought the sword round so it was pointing at Brie, watching the blood run down her form and allowing himself a slight smile.
"A mere beast is simply no contest." The sword glimmered faintly as if in agreement with it's wielder. He kept his eyes on Brie and Corbin, waiting for the next move in this little game. Of course if they didn't want to fight fair he could happily oblige them there as well but he would happily leave the bullshit out assuming his opponent did the same. Duels always were preferable to mere fights.

"I am no mere beast. I will be your killer," Brie said softly. Hearing Corbin's mental orders, she whined and turned back. "Fuck! Corbin, are you serious?" She gave a heavy sigh and turned to Tilan. "Damn, well unfortunately, we have to get the fuck out of here. Do not worry... We shall meet again," the hippogriff sighed, crouching as she thrust underneath Kitsu to bring the fae onto her back.
She turned to Tilan with an enigmatic smile. "Until then, farewell," she said quietly, turning her head to Corbin. "I do not like running away from a fight." She was grumpy about it, that's for sure, but complied without an altercation. Her step quickened as Corbin mounted and the hippogriff took her leave, swiftly maneuvering despite her bulk.
((;-; I wants to fights him... awww...until then))

Kitsu shot Corbin a nasty glare. When the changeling moved underneath her, she moved easy witht he motion to settle herself on Brie. She shot Tilan one last look before turning to look at Corbin. " lets go" she spoke.

When the sparkling dust finally cleared Tilan dropped the arm he had used to shield his eyes and slowly let his sword lower as the changeling moved into the distance. Looked like for today he'd have to settle with spilling blood alone. Delano was sure to be unimpressed by the outcome but he was satisfied, it wasn't everyday you got to match his power with a the dark witch and walk away and between the stone he had received from Kitsu and the blood spilt he had a few things to occupy his time with. If he was lucky he might also have a new weapon for the next time they met.
"Collect the guardian's blood carefully and remove that worthless corpse. Return to your stations until summoned once you're done. I'll need to go and explain the situation to Delano." Tilan sighed a little, knowing that the meeting was going to be done too pleasant most likely. He brought his sword down to rest against his leg, a sheath spinning itself out of the word and attaching itself where it met the fabric.
"Until we meet again Guardian of Darkness." He grinned with a bow to the now empty tunnel ahead before turning swiftly and walking back to Delano's office to deliver his report. Of course, chances are Delano had seen the fight anyway but it was procedure after all.

Delano meanwhile was now brooding at his desk. Fire scarred face hiding behind his folded hands. It was to be expected he thought. The dark witch was a force to contend with on any front. Though still, this did not settle his mind. The dark witch could still be a free agent now his bargaining chip was gone. Fuck!
“ TILAN!!!” He suddenly roared, making sure the man knew he was wanted now…

Tilan steeled himself as he came up to the entrance to Delano's office, brushing the last of the rock dust from his jacket. Straightening it afterwards he finally moved his hand to open the door and step inside. Moving in front of the desk and standing to attention before Delano, arms to his side and eyes straight forward.
"Sir." he said simply, knowing what was coming, it was expected. Once he was done with his ranting though he'd listen to the good things that came out of the little conflict. Telling him now would be a waste however, anger clouds judgement so very easily after all.

“ What are you going to do about this! Our bargaining chip is gone and that little cretin is loose again! I wanted his power on our side! What is he now goes over to Lothairs goonies and tells him about the meeting!” He roared in heated anger as his fist slammed down upon the desk.

"I don't see Corbin being any more likely to aid Claudius willingly, though should he goad that little group into a direct attack then all the better, we can defend ourselves easily enough, guerilla fighting is a tiresome pursuit however." Tilan started, moving his hand to brush through his hair with a slight sigh.
"While we have lost the dark witch we never truly had him to begin with and I believe we may have something far more useful. His guardian was injured in the fight and she was kind enough to leave some blood behind. With a bit of time I should be able to work up a spell to remove Corbin from our hair long enough to deal with Claudius and his group." He paused for a moment dropping his hand to his side once more.
"Assuming I still have access to the archives of course...which reminds me. Just before I left to deal with Kitsu I received word back from my contacts in the coven. It appears there was no observer sent to watch over you, though there has been talk of doing so. I can only surmise that Donovon was a spy, maybe of Claud's maybe a free agent all together." In truth he had received this word a little while ago but he figured it might be a good thing to deflect attention from himself in just this sort of situation.

Delano’s eyes seemed to search the empty darkness upon this in deep thought.
“….. Very well then, figure that spell out quick. The dark witch is a terrible foe to have. Also… see if you can find that spy and give him to Master Nouikketsu… I want to know who he is working for.” The older man snapped quickly. He didn’t like this news at all, a loose end and a spy in their mist? It was slowly putting him into a desperate corner he didn’t know how to get out of.
