Zahler jumped at the sound of a yelp behind him, but just gave a confused glance about before laying back down. With another yell, for some reason denying having sex he sat up and gave them an unimpressed glare, lifting his eyebrow. This had no effect because of the bush in the way, but he felt better. "What the heck did they think I was thinking. It just sounded like... Yelping? Okay, maybe it was a little scandelous sounding, but honestly, the first thing that comes to everyone's mind when they hear anything like that is alway sex. I mean, it could have been anything. Like... um... Well, I can't really think of anything right now, but I'm sure there's a completely reasonable explanation. Whatever that might be," He mumbled, quickly dissolving into other topics that he debated with himself about while he lay back down and closed his eyes again.
"I need to find a good place to buy a hat," He yawned, and then started snoring very softly.

Edmund gave Blaine a look of purest 'what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you-I've-never-met-someone-so-retarded-in-my-life,' a wonderful combination of an arched brow, hands lifted, palms up, like What, and a mouth simultaneously pulled into a frown and left just slightly ajar. He stayed that way, comically frozen, save a furrowing of his brow, through the unintelligble mutterings from what he could assume was the man Blaine had spotted.
"..The hell," he finally hissed, letting his hands drop, though he continued to give Blaine the same sort of stare after a quick glance towards the bushes. "..Do you attract psychos? Really, Blaine. I don't get how you can send a day down the pipes so fast.." His use of the other's name softened it a little, though, and he definitely could've looked pissier. A moment's thought..A glance down towards a nearby stick, though not the one Blaine had given to the ants. A glance back to the bushes.. A devious little impulse that he gave into, picking the thing up and chucking it hard through the thinner, uppermost branches seperating them from the snoring man, in what he could only assume was his general direction. All, mind you, with as close to an innocent look on his face as he was ever going to get, like he'd done nothing out of the ordinary.

“ I guess I’m just that special. “ Blaine grinned brightly as he looked the man as if he had said nothing wrong. This was when suddenly, his friend sent the stick flying through the air at the man. Blaine trying to hide his laughter as he was about to bust of laughing. Edmund just chucked a stick at the dude! He actually just did something that he would of done. WHOO! He was teaching this kid well. He gave him a playful thumbs up at this. Ehehehehehe…. This was about to get entertaining.

The stick landed with a thump on his chest, startling Zahler to jump up and grab it. "Zwha? What the!? Who? Oh. Bah humbug!" He grumbled, casting a glare at the bush, again accomplishing nothing. Who in their right mind would bother a respectible citizen minding their own buisiness like that? If he saw them at the bar tonight, he'd be sure to mess up their orders... If he knew what they looked like.
A devious smile spread across his face. Two could play at this game though. Snatching up his stave, he clicked the button on it, and stabbed the spearhead through the shrubbery.

The hybrid arched his brows coolly at Blaine, as though to ask what he was suddenly so happy about. He couldn't help a smug flash in his eyes, though, and when he heard Zahler react on the other side of the bushes, the corners of his mouth twitched upwards with a sort of mischievous pleasure. "Two points," he muttered under his breath, simultaneously looking like the cat that's just caught the canary, and abnormally cheerful, at least in comparison to his usual behavior.
Of course, whatever sadistic little good mood he'd had brewing shattered to pieces as something sharp appeared in front of his face. Instant 'threat' mode, a scowl, and almost before he even realized what he was doing, he reached up, grabbing the thing behind the blade with both hands and giving a harder yank than your everyday human should ever be able to manage. Shoving something sharp at him was a poor choice on any given day, but when he was still keyed up from an encounter with a bounty hunter.. Think poking at a bear with a stick. A very foul-tempered polar bear, maybe.

“ Oh crap.” Blaine responded as he blinked at the sharp stick, and Mr. Polar bear of course yanking it forward caused him to back up a bit. This… this could be a start of another fight he thought happily. So cool! He was beginning to like to watch the guy fight. It made him feel special in that damsel in distress way as his emerald and gold eyes fixated upon the guy excitedly. Wondering how the other would soon react.

Pulling Zahler off balance, he fell through the bush and out the other side, his face landing in the dirt. "Okay, maybe not my best idea," He said, voice muffled. He looked up, face passive, still clinging to his stave. "Okay, so maybe I deserved that, but can I have my stave back?" He asked, tugging at it lightly. In front of him, and holding the stave, was a man in his 30's with the most complicated haircut he'd ever seen. The other was an impish 20 year old with yellow hair and bright green eyes. A weird pair if you asked him, but it all seemed to come from the hair.

"Probably not," Edmund answered icily, staring, with no small amount of contempt, down at the guy he'd just pulled through the bushes. The tug from the stranger's end of the stave earned a short, sharp jerk back away from him from the hybrid, reinforcing his 'no'. His mind was whirring into overdrive, taking in his appearance, processing what he'd said, teetering between 'polar bear will rip you in half' and his everyday 'cranky goose' level of operation. This guy didn't look like any sort of threat, really. He just looked like a kid. ..A stupid kid, Edmund thought.
"Because if I give it back, you'll probably shove it under someone else's nose." 'Condescending', that one word, didn't even begin to express his behavior about then, and he really wished he were standing, rather than sitting. Standing would've added to the imposing factor. "Unless you can give me a good reason to let go..It's not happening."

Blaine could only laugh at this. This was way too good.
“ Come on, I think we can deal with this like adults…. I think……” He mused to himself as he looked between the two not sure what to make of this really. He raised his hand a bit. Gesturing to the stranger before him.
“ I say give him back his stick and he can buy us some icecream… or booze. That should be a fair deal right?” He grinned playfully between the two.

Zahler kept his grip on the stave, but he wasn't feeling as great as if he had eaten recently, "Uh, I don't know about alcohol, and..." He reached up the shaft, clicking the button, retracting the spearhead and mashing the brush into his face. He spluttered, wiping paint off his face, and pushing the brush away. "Okay, I need food, or I'm just gonna keep getting stupider," He said, spitting paint. "Let's just say, I get dangerous when hungry. Mostly because I get stupid."

"Can you deal with anything like an adult, Blaine?" Edmund muttered, shooting the faerie a raised brow, and looking back down in time to watch the brush meet Zahler's face. ..What the hell was this thing, anyways? He finally let go, maybe just because of the satisfaction he got from watching this kid get paint on himself, dusting his hands together like the stave had gotten them dirty.
"That's wonderful for you," he answered, giving Zahler a flat look. "I tend to get dangerous when people jab at me with killer art supplies. Especially when they don't have the sense to stop rambling long enough to apologize." ..Apologize..Like that was ever going to do anyone any good, at least where Edmund was concerned.

Blaine thought long and hard on this comment before commeing back at him with a simple.
“ No.” He told him, grinning innocently as if he wasn’t being a wise ass just now. With this the guy looked between the two. Listening to them speak back and forth with the utmost curiosity. Emerald eyes watched with a mischievous nature mixed in. Wondering where this turn of events would lead them.

Zahler pushed himself, snatching his stave from the ground and looking around. A smell caught his attention and he stopped mid scan. "Food!" He exclaimed, eyes flickering, searching for the source of the scent. Taking a deep breath through his nose, the traveller wandered back and forth toward the food, following his nose and leaving the other two behind, completely forgetting they were there.
((Sorry, but I haven't been around for a while))
