Welcome to Cheshire City my friend, the place that never sleeps and whom residents all hold a secret. Don’t be scared though. They mean no harm, or in the least most of them do not. You see, during the day the humans live here. Going about their everyday lives, not knowing what lurks just inches from their precious light. Hiding in the shadows and biding their time till the sun falls deep and the moon rises high. Then, then it is their time to rule. To lurk and take their payment for being imprisoned here in this hell. You see, the city draws many of the darkness to it’s fold. No one knows why, but well, some say it is because this city is truly the hell of old. Others say it is heaven, though these folk may be as madd as I am you see.
All the same, there is always something going on here, always a tale to tell. City life never stops you see, and it all links together like the chains of slavery. Each link, connecting both beginning to end in orderly fashion, just as each resident is somehow involved in the next city dwellers life. If they know of it or not, their all connected in their insanity, their misery, their life. So come on in, find a place to call home, and enter the city. If you dare.
plot

Telckla smiled to herself as she licked the blood from her lips, twisting the human's head idly in her hand until it issued a sickening crack and the maggot went limb. She tossed the lifeless husk aside, slamming it against the alley wall, breaking more bones in the frail frame. Her eyes raised to the remaining human women cowering next to a dumpster, her eyes wide with fear and disbelief.
Maybe the two of them loved each other, they at least seemed close, holding hands and staying close as they walked. That would only make killing her all the sweeter, she was sick and tired of seeing love, the reminder of her reason for this little rampage. Maybe that man would realise what he was supposed to do, what they used to do.
Just thinking about him made her blood boil, her human hand shifting into the barbed tentacles of her demon form. The swirling mass trailed slowly forward, twisting around in the air. She was going to make sure this one begged her for death before she harvested her.

((You're brilliant btw))
Aminna stands immersed in shadows, Her albino hair is covered by a black hood, her battle dress sways around her ankles. Nest to her Vincent stands, his normally soft blue fur is midnight black. He looks up at his mistress, singing in her mind about how horrible this Telckla Harundal is. Also what she's been doing the past few moments with the humans. Aminna tells Vincent to fetch Mithandr and squares her shoulders, allowing the arcane forces inside her to well up inside her before stepping out of her hiding place. "Hello... you must be Telckla." She says with a frown.

It wasn't hard for Telckla to sense the build up of arcane energy nearby, and of course hearing the voice speak her name was evidence enough she'd been found out.
"So much for enjoying this one." She spoke aloud with a shrug of her shoulders, a moment passing before the bladed tentacles shooting forward, impaling the young woman she'd been toying with to the wall in several places. Blood ran down the wall in streams, the body twitching twice before slumping lifelessly with only a chocked gargle courtesy of the blade lodged through her throat.
"I suggest you don't waste my time witch, otherwise I'll be tasting you soon enough." The half morphed harundal finally turns her head to face the intruder, sizing her up with a few glances over. If this witch knew what a harundal was she was either stupid, foolish, or more powerful than she appeared. Even without her full power a witch was a trivial obstacle for the demon.

[She's fast] Aminna thinks as the Harundal kill the woman [I'll have to do something about those arm/tentacle things.] The sad thing is that she knows for a fact that, had it not been for her saving and raising him Mithandr would be like this. Cold, homicidal and destructive without reason. What a pity.
This WAS supposed to be a reconnaissance mission but it looks like she'll have to deal with the demon sooner rather than later. She should stall until Mithandr arrives with Vincent... like this Telckla creature will allow her to do any such thing. Besides, the Ice dragon isn't here... yet, so it'll be good to get this over with, assuming she isn't killed.
"Why can't things just be easy?" Aminna mutters to herself as she releases a small portion of the mystic energy. Using the Rites of Aalorana she creates illusions of herself and trades places with one to throw the Harundal off. She doesn't think it'll confuse the Harundal for long but Vincent isn't used to opening portals so he'll be taking longer than necessary to bring Mithandr.
"Telckla." She makes one of the illusions of herself say, "Be warned, you've brought the wrath Aminna Lethifold, the living shroud and black witch of the rising sun, down upon you. Give yourself up and i'll silence your squirming mass of limbs quickly."
With that she releases power sealed in the sword at her hip. Her sword, Arapesh, has the ability to warp her mystic energy and disperse it into the atmosphere, flooding the entire ally with the presence of her arcane energy in order to better hide herself amongst her illusions. This technique, known as Boiling Storm, also allows her to cast more powerful spells since her personal magic is filling the air.

"I could recount to you a good number of names, a good number of witches who have tried to be heroes little girl." Telckla responded, pulling herself to her feet. The writhing mass of tentacles pulling themselves from the now dead woman's body and retracting to a more arm like length.
"Not a bad start on your part, though trying to hide will only make your death more drawn out." She continues, her other arm shifting as well into yet more dangerously bladed tentacles. There was more than one way to sniff out a hidden rat and the more direct ways always seemed to offer the best results.
"Though I am intrigued as to how you know my name, maybe I'll just torture you until you tell me all your dirty little secrets hmm? If you're lucky I'll end you after that, though I might just leave you a broken mess for the crows to pick at." She casts her eyes over the images of her opponent, giving each a good look over, quite happy to see that none were instantly standing out. This might just prove to be an interesting distraction after all.
"I should warn you though girl..." She smirks, white feathered wings sprouting from her back as she raises one mass of tentacles. Her wings take on a light glow, expanding her own magic power a little. With a flick of her tentacles she sent a bolt of energy through one of the shapes of the witch, not picking any one in particular.
"Unlike my kin I have something of an affinity for the magical myself."

[Aw Sh**] Aminna mentally snaps as a not-too-shabby bit of magic passes through her illusion [Life just can't be easy] "Shhhh" gently slides through Aminna's lips in an unconscious attempt to quiet her own silently complaining mind. She prepares the spell, drawing on a small portion of the warped energy Arapesh has thrown into the air, and releases the metaphysical "chains" inside her that bind the dark element. The Rites of Fallyn, dark magic bound to restraints of power that takes two elemental forms. Aminna and her illusions begin a low murmur of chanting. Diluted dark magic that cackles and burns forms inside her body. Streams of ethereal force convulse and break, a fire as black as the void between the stars erupts into existence just beneath the Harundal's feet.

The winged demon could probably have tried to stop whatever the witch was building up to, after all it wasn't hard for her to sense the magical energy welling up around her. She was curious to see how much power this one had, all the other witches had been such a let down. She curled her wings around her form, jumping backwards just as she felt the energy centre at her feet.
"Dark magic against a demon?" She chuckles as the lets those darkened wings fold back behind her. "Surprising power for a witch but magic can only do so much for you." With that the demon lunged forward, her arms shifting into those masses of bladed tendrils. The advantage of having so many limbs was that it became very easy to take out a lot of fake images in one decisive strike.

The multitude of tentacles shoot out and Aminna curses her bad luck. Drawing once again on the energy around her and not her own she uses Kayastraya's dark art, teleprotation.
(She senses magic... most magic using demons have memorized a spell here and there. This can't get any worse) Aminna thinks as she appears behind the winged Harundal. She feels Vincent's mind tinkling against her own. He's anxious because he doesn't know where Mithandr is. "Sh*t." Aminna snaps, releasing magic from within for the first time since Arapesh. Darkness surrounds her body like a deadly mist of black ribbons. Her flames are already released so she forms black flames from several ribbons of velvet darkness and throws the dark conflagration at the demon, readying herself to release the mental chain like restraint holding the tainted lightning form of her darkness as Vincent helplessly wines in her ear.

(Long over due reply is overdue)
The Harundel wasn't about to give the witch a clean shot of course, the next burst of magic causing her to leap into the air, her superhuman strength getting her a good ways off the ground. A hard flap of those feathered wings sent her to the right up against one of the walls of the alleyway.
"Hmm so you can move as well, not bad, far better than those that belong to the coven anyway. I think you know it's futile though, if I didn't smell that irritating human nearby I might have to wonder why you were stalling me." She grins waving those bladed appendages of hers. "So I wonder if I should present him your head or let him watch me strangle the last breath from your body, what do you think he'd like best?"
